| Hayes Helps Stogies Run Win Streak to 4 | The Havana Stogies beat the Maple Marauders, 10-7, at Legends Park. Havana right fielder Willie Hayes earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Havana reliever Danny Posada picked up the win to move to 3-5. Oscar Rodriguez suffered the loss. Mudasser Sabzvari converted his 30th save in 35 tries.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Daniel Cruz hit a sacrifice fly. The Stogies took the lead, 8-7.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Havana manager Reynaldo Vázquez.
Havana goes to 83-45. The win puts them 22 games up in their division.
