The Rubber City Rhinos got a superb performance from first baseman Robbie Sarmiento. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bloomington. The Blazers won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Sarmiento was named the player of the game. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Bloomington has now won 3 in a row.

Had Levi Meeuwenberg not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Meeuwenberg hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Blazers.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Meeuwenberg.
