Pioneers Get Past Cabo San Lucas for 6-5 Win

Pioneers designated hitter Colin Carpenter put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Carpenter was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Vancouver in the contest. The Pioneers' win now puts them at 53-72.

Rob Muniz was the walk-off hero for Vancouver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pioneers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Muniz said.
