Havana Stogies starter Joe Hardy pitched a strong game against the Hawaii Islanders at Aloha Stadium, leading the Stogies to a 5-2 win. Hardy, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Picking up the save was Mudasser Sabzvari, his 4th.
