| Beavers Lose, 5-2, at Sick's Stadium | Seattle left fielder Fu-chi Ming was instrumental in his team's 5-2 win over the Portland Beavers. Ming, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2037 draft, went 1-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Sasquatch. Quiang Tu earned his 34th save in 41 chances. The Sasquatch have an impressive 78-46 record.
Ming contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Ming took a fastball from Félix Reina and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Sasquatch to leap in front, 3-2.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Ming.
