Enriquez Hits 2 home runs in Tornadoes Win

The exploits of center fielder Francisco Enriquez, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, helped the Kansas City Tornadoes defeat the Mile High Mustangs, 8-1. Enriquez went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Tornadoes have won 7 consecutive games.

The game might have turned in the top of the third. With the Mustangs trailing 4-0, Garin Renzenbrink grounded out, driving in 1 run. But the Tornadoes could not close the deal. Kansas City manager Fernando Vargas took the loss in stride. "No use dwelling on it," he said. "We'll just get ready to play the next one."
