Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Bobby Bermudez, who went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Dallas reliever Sam Thomas picked up the win, bumping his record to 6-6. Jackson Knickle was collared with the loss. Ray Shumaker earned his 4th save in 5 chances.
Rodrigo Quiñones hit a 2-run double off Jackson Knickle in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Texans in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Quiñones had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
