| Coleman goes 3-for-4 as Islanders Squeeze Past Tonga | Hawaii beat Tonga at Aloha Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Joe Coleman, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Hawaii reliever Cruz Miguel picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Alberto Dimas was collared with the loss. Hawaii has 3 straight wins, Tonga 3 straight losses.
Coleman had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Islanders went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Coleman told the Hawaii Herald.
