Meeuwenberg Hits 2 home runs in Blazers Win

The Bloomington Blazers beat the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-4, at Field de Los Layendas. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Levi Meeuwenberg, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Blazers bumped their record to 68-53 with this latest triumph.

Meeuwenberg had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Mike Foust, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Blazers a 7-4 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Meeuwenberg.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Meeuwenberg said in postgame remarks.
