| Black Knights 3B Soto hits 18th home run in Win | The Brooklyn Black Knights beat the Tonga G.o.D., 6-4, at Isle of Destiny. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Angel Soto, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Cesar Moreno got the win, improving to 7-8. He held the G.o.D. to 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Ji-hwan Yea was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 30 save opportunities.
Soto had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Black Knights went on to win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Soto told the Brooklyn Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
Brooklyn is now 58-64, Tonga 60-62.
