| Bombers Lose, 4-1, at Field de Los Layendas | The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a strong performance from pitcher Ian Portz, who stymied the South Carolina offense en route to a 4-1 win at Field de Los Layendas. Mike Foust notched his 29th save in 33 chances. The first-place Toreros, at 69-52, now lead their division by 2 games.
The Toreros got a big at-bat from first baseman Itsuka Arakaki. For the game, Arakaki went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 4-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Portz told the Cabo San Lucas Daily.
