| Victory Over Mustangs Takes Georgia to 9-4 | The Georgia Grays defeated the Mile High Mustangs, 7-5. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Shigeaki Yoshida, who was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Yukihiro Nakamoto picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Bob Ruíz was tagged with the loss. The Mustangs fall to 4-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Yoshida had a game-changing single in the top of the sixth. On a 3-1 fastball from Bob Ruíz, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Grays a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th hit of the year for Yoshida.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Georgia manager Ánibal Machado.
