Toreros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Marauders

The Cabo San Lucas Toreros beat the Maple Marauders, 10-7, at Legends Park. Cabo San Lucas first baseman Itsuka Arakaki earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 7 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Cabo San Lucas is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Arakaki had a game-changing home run in the top of the 16th. On a 1-1 fastball from Kevin Neily, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Toreros a 8-7 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Arakaki.

"There's no quit in this team," said Toreros manager Cisco Sánchez.
