| Bombers Prevail, 3-1, Over Bloomington | The Bombers had to overcome a fine effort from Bloomington pitcher Kenko Samurakami to grab a narrow 3-1 win at Bomber Ballpark. Samurakami went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. South Carolina reliever Sandy Ponce was the winner. His record is now 5-1. Kenko Samurakami took the loss. David Williams earned his 1st save in 5 chances.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from third baseman Bryce Pope. For the game, Pope was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave South Carolina a 3-0 lead.

South Carolina, now 50-68, holds 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
