Getting a good performance from designated hitter Waylon Swerdlow, the Midland Rockhounds defeated the Quebec Armada, 7-6. Swerdlow was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Rockhounds. The Rockhounds bumped their record to 62-56 with this latest triumph.

The Rockhounds were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Mike Ramos turned a first pitch curveball from Christian Wallace into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Midland a thrilling 7-6 win.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Swerdlow.
