| Armada Score Late, Stun Rockhounds, 7-5 | The Midland Rockhounds got a sterling performance from third baseman Zhong-shu Chuang, but the Armada still prevailed, 7-5. Chuang was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He hit 2 home runs. Joey McCalvin, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Christian Wallace got the save, his 5th in 10 chances.
The Armada got a big at-bat from left fielder Brent Driggs. For the game, Driggs was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Quebec a 7-5 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Driggs.
