| Earthquakes Walk Off with 3-2 Win | Cabo San Lucas designated hitter Bill St.john had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to San Francisco at Golden Gate Park. St.john hit 2 home runs. San Francisco now sits in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 55-58.
Jim Commo was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Earthquakes left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
In postgame comments to the San Francisco Bulletin, Commo said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
