Great Effort by Brown Wasted in 12-10 Rockhounds Loss

Midland first baseman Elijah Brown had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-10, to Mile High at Field of Dreams. Brown belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Mile High reliever Adam Meents was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Danny Zafra took the loss for Midland. Obke van der Haar got the save, his 10th in 10 chances.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from third baseman Shunso Sato. For the game, Sato went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Mile High a 7-6 lead.

In postgame comments to the Mile High Today, Sato said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Mile High now sits in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 51-65.
