Toreros Top Earthquakes in 12

The Cabo San Lucas Toreros defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 9-7, at Golden Gate Park today. Leading the charge for Cabo San Lucas was designated hitter Kevin Parry. He went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Reliever Mike Foust picked up the win. His record improves to 7-4. Pang Yip took the loss. The Toreros bumped their record to 64-50 with this latest triumph.

Parry had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 0-2 cutter from Pang Yip, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Toreros a 9-7 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Parry.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Cisco Sánchez said.
