Blazers Fall Short at Vancouver

The Vancouver Pioneers picked up a win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 3-2. On the mound for Vancouver was right-hander Neil Coffin, who played a pivotal role in the win. Vancouver reliever Willard Stady picked up the win, upping his record to 8-3. Victor Hernandez absorbed the loss. The Pioneers sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division with a record of 46-66.

Rob Muniz chipped in for Vancouver with a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
