| Islanders Score Late to Upend Black Knights, 3-2 | The Hawaii Islanders faced a tough opponent in Brooklyn pitcher Kyuji Aoki, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Blue Ivy Stadium by a final score of 3-2. Aoki went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Amaui Mahi'ai notched his 17th save in 24 chances. The Islanders sit in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division with a record of 48-62.
John Lacenaire had a nice at-bat for the Islanders with two out in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the second baseman got hit by a pitch, which would prove important in the Hawaii win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lacenaire.
