| Black Knights Turn Back Havana, 4-3 | The Havana Stogies and Brooklyn Black Knights provided some drama at Blue Ivy Stadium.
Brooklyn starter Kyuji Aoki had a strong outing against the Havana Stogies at Blue Ivy Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Aoki, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from catcher Neal Thacker. For the game, Thacker was 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave Brooklyn a 3-0 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Aoki said.
