| Titanic Come Back Late to Top Beavers | Belfast starter Ruben Bautista pitched effectively against the Portland Beavers at Waterfront Park. The right-hander led his team to a 6-5 win. Bryan Blashill was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 20 save opportunities. Belfast bumps their record to 44-67 with the win.
Had Andy Richards not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Richards hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Titanic.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Portland manager Darwin Strickland. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
