| Hornets Turn Back Mile High, 3-2 | Mile High got a terrific game from designated hitter Levi Meeuwenberg. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Eureka, 3-2. Meeuwenberg was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 1-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Mustangs fall to 4-8 and continue their wobbly start to the 2038 season.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from right fielder Fernando Vela. For the game, Vela went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Eureka a 3-2 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Vela said.
