| Gamble Helps Beavers Run Win Streak to 7 | The Portland Beavers beat the Tonga G.o.D., 10-2, at Isle of Destiny. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Mike Gamble, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 6. Portland is now riding a 7-game win streak.
Gamble had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Beavers went on to win.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Beavers manager Darwin Strickland, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
