Titanic Topple G.o.D. with Late Rally

With third baseman Jorge Zamora leading the charge, the Belfast Titanic defeated the Tonga G.o.D., 6-3, at Ship Yard. Zamora, who is a two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner, was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Belfast reliever Chris Van Arsdale picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Justin Davidov shouldered the loss. The Titanic are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 11 games.

Zamora had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Justin Davidov, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Titanic a 6-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Zamora.

"We take it day by day here," said Zamora, "and today was a good one for us."
