| Blazers Win in Extras | The Bloomington Blazers did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the South Carolina Bombers at Bomber Ballpark. Nobody did more than left fielder Roger Barrett, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Ducky Goosie in relief. His record improves to 1-0. David Williams took the loss. The Bombers, now 3-7, continue their slow start.
This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the 12th, Willie Curry drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Blazers took the lead, 7-6.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Barrett, "but we got it done."
