| Beavers Prevail, 4-2, Over Havana | The Portland Beavers topped the Havana Stogies, 4-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Waterfront Park. The player of the game was Portland pitcher Elias Ortiz. Olivier Martin notched his 2nd save in 4 chances. Portland is now riding a 3-game win streak.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the fourth inning. That's when center fielder Teruo Sato, who is a three-time All-Star, drew a walk. The Beavers went on to win.
