With second baseman John Oakes leading the charge, the Havana Stogies defeated the Midland Rockhounds, 7-4, at The Humidor. Oakes, who is tied for 9th in the RCL with a .299 batting average, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Aaron Lyons picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-5. Justin Bolling was tagged with the loss. Felipe Arreola earned his 3rd save in 6 chances.

Taylor Bastien hit a run-scoring double off Justin Bolling in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Stogies in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Bastien had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

Oakes called the triumph "a good team win."

The Stogies bumped their record to 68-32 with this latest triumph.
