The Maple Marauders defeated the Rubber City Rhinos, 11-0, in Thurman Munson League action at The Rubber Grounds, with Maple pitcher Mitsunari Kobayashi named player of the game. Kobayashi, now 7-5, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs.
Rickey Moses, who is tied for 8th in the TML in stolen bases with 37, aided the Maple cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
