Midland Rockhounds starter Andy Mendoza was in fine form against the Havana Stogies at The Humidor, leading his team to a 7-2 win. The Rockhounds bumped their record to 55-47 with this latest triumph.

Hector Lopez's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Midland. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Midland leading 1-0, the center fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Lopez.
