| Sasquatch Raise Rally Flag, Beat South Carolina, 4-2 | The Seattle Sasquatch picked up a win at Sick's Stadium, knocking off the South Carolina Bombers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Kanichi Kaneshiro, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Quiang Tu earned his 29th save in 34 chances. The current losing streak for South Carolina has reached 4 games.
Had Cien Almas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Almas hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Sasquatch.
"I thought we played a nice game," Almas told the Seattle Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
