Meeuwenberg Helps Blazers Run Win Streak to 5

The Bloomington Blazers downed the San Diego Hops, 11-8, at The Brew Stade. Levi Meeuwenberg led the way, going 3-for-3 for Bloomington. Bloomington is now riding a 5-game win streak.

The Blazers got a big at-bat from left fielder Roger Barrett. For the game, Barrett was 2-5 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 80th hit of the season gave Bloomington a 7-6 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Meeuwenberg. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
