| Marauders Lose, 7-2, at The Rubber Grounds | The Rubber City Rhinos got a strong performance from pitcher Katsutaro Nishikawa, who stymied the Maple offense en route to a 7-2 win at The Rubber Grounds. Nishikawa went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-8. Rubber City has now won 3 in a row.
Akio Ishii, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the Rubber City cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
