| Texans Win at Vancouver, 8-7 | Vancouver got a terrific performance from second baseman Rob Muniz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dallas Texans. Dallas won the "The Fort" at B.C. Place contest, 8-7. Muniz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win was credited to Domingo Rueda in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Alex Gutierrez took the loss. Héctor Zúñiga got the save, his 9th in 11 chances.
The Texans got a big at-bat from second baseman Kunihiro Shibata. For the game, Shibata was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Dallas a 8-7 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Shibata told reporters after the game.
Dallas is now 41-60, while Vancouver is 41-58.
