| Beavers Stun Marauders, 3-2 | Portland starter Felipe De La Hoya pitched effectively against the Maple Marauders at Legends Park. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. De La Hoya, now 14-6, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs. Olivier Martin got the save, his 1st in 2 chances.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from left fielder Eddie Villegas. For the game, Villegas went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Portland a 3-2 lead.
