| Mustangs Lose to Rhinos, 8-6 | Mile High got a terrific performance from right fielder David Morales, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rubber City Rhinos. Rubber City won the McNichols Stadium contest, 8-6. Morales was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. John Knight was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Rhinos have a dismal 31-67 record.
Akio Ishii was 1 for 2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Rubber City. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Justin Adler. It was his 44th RBI of the season.
