| Detroit Breaks Through for First Win in Triple A World Series; Now Trails 2-1 | Already down in the Triple A World Series, the Detroit Death Stars put on their best show, beating the Albuquerque Cacti by a final score of 4-3 today. Tomohito Ihara earned player of the game honors, as he threw 6 innings allowing 4 runs. Detroit now trails Albuquerque 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
Antonio Reyna aided the Detroit cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Reyna.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Sergio Solis for Detroit and Terry Yarrigle for Albuquerque.
