Havana Win League Pennant

Hernando De Soto wore out opposing pitchers en route to being named League Pennant MVP.

The star's Havana Stogies defeated the Portland Beavers by a series score of 4-1 to advance to the ABL World Series.

Havana won the final game by a 9-0 count in front of a raucous crowd at The Humidor.

De Soto hit .550 with a .625 on-base percentage in the series, while also adding 0 home runs, driving in 6 RBI and scoring 7 runs.

"Just trying to do my job, that's all there is too it," said De Soto.

The Havana Stogies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Maple Marauders - Kansas City Tornadoes series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The ABL World Series schedule will be announced after the League Pennant finishes.
