Portland Win Divisional Championship

A 4-3 triumph at House of the Republic has wrapped up the Divisional Championship for the Portland Beavers.

"We're off to the League Pennant," said Beavers first baseman Robert Mentzer, who was named series MVP after his club eliminated the So Cal Republic by a series score of 4-1. "You can never take a win in a series like this for granted," he said.

The Portland Beavers will play against the Havana Stogies in the next round. Havana won their series against the Tonga G.o.D. 4 games to 1. The League Pennant schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes.
