| McKenzie Handcuffs Stogies, Tornadoes Seize 1-0 Advantage in R4 | The Kansas City Tornadoes took the first game of the ABL World Series in dramatic fashion today, topping the Havana Stogies 4-2 in an extra-inning walk-off win. Tornadoes left-hander Magyver McKenzie was selected player of the game, as he threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball.
Armando Galdos, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, chipped in for Kansas City with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 14th. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Galdos.
Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow in Kansas City. Slated to start are Caiden Greenshield for Havana and Tanner Johnson for Kansas City.
