| Blazers Hammered by de la Cruz, Drop Game 6 to Marauders | The Maple Marauders and the Bloomington Blazers will take the Divisional Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Marauders beat the Blazers 8-5 at Arson Arena to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Maple right fielder Manny de la Cruz was named player of the game in the win after he went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
Dennis George, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2037 draft, chipped in for Maple with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," George told reporters after the game.
Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow in Bloomington. The scheduled starters for the game are Mitsunari Kobayashi for Maple and Juan Figueroa for Bloomington.
