| Almost There: Bloomington On Cusp of R2 Triumph After 8-2 Win | With first baseman Levi Meeuwenberg leading the charge, the Bloomington Blazers got a road win over the Maple Marauders, 8-2, in Game 4 of the Divisional Championship today. Meeuwenberg went 1 for 1 with a double and 5 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once at Legends Park to help Bloomington take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Fernando Franco aided the Bloomington cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop was 1-6 with a double.
Franco told a Bloomington Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Jack Mainjer for the Bloomington Blazers and Norbert Philips for the the Maple Marauders.
