| Burge Blasts Marauders, Blazers Take Game 3, 6-3 | Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Mike Burge, the Bloomington Blazers got a road win against the Maple Marauders, 6-3, in Game 3 of the Divisional Championship today. Burge belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Blazers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Burge had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Blazers went on to win.
"We're happy," Burge told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Toronto. Slated to start are Joey Steamer for the Bloomington Blazers and Mitsunari Kobayashi for the the Maple Marauders.
