| Maple Win Evens Series at 1 | The Maple Marauders topped the Bloomington Blazers by the score of 5-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Divisional Championship today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Maple starter Eddie Taveras, who threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball in the win.
Maple third baseman Dennis George contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the fourth. For the game, George was 1-4.
"Eddie was pounding the zone," said Maple manager Davey Morris.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Legends Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Juan Figueroa for Bloomington and Norbert Philips for Maple.
