| Kansas City Takes League Pennant | The Kansas City Tornadoes are riding high after knocking off the Maple Marauders in the League Pennant.
"We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Omar Avila, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this."
Kansas City won the final game by a 6-0 count at Debris Field and the series 4-2.
For the series, Avila hit .522 with a .577 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Kansas City Tornadoes will play against the Havana Stogies in the next round. Havana won their series against the Portland Beavers 4 games to 1. The ABL World Series schedule will be announced after the League Pennant finishes. |
