| Jostle Handcuffs Marauders, Blazers Seize 1-0 Advantage in R2 | The Bloomington Blazers started the Divisional Championship in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Maple Marauders in a walk-off in the 10th inning. Bloomington took the 2-1 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter James Jostle. The left-hander threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which gave the Blazers a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.
Late in the game, second baseman David Kopacki had a big at-bat for Bloomington. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Aaron Arnett. The play gave the Blazers a 2-1 lead.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Román Cruz, the Bloomington skipper.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Bloomington. Slated to start are Eddie Taveras for Maple and Kenko Samurakami for Bloomington.
