Death Stars Win to Extend Series Lead to 4-2
The Detroit Death Stars moved to within one game of the Triple A World Series today, downing the Antioch Coal Miners 3-0 in a low-scoring affair at The Coal Mine. Leading the attack for the Death Stars was left fielder Edwin Ruiz, who was named player of the game after he went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. The win gives the Death Stars a 4-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Triple A League Championship.

Ruiz had a big at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Death Stars went on to win.

"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Ruiz. "Obviously."
