| Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Death Stars, 2-0 | In a pivotal Game 5, the Detroit Death Stars were hoping for a big game from starter Juan Lucero. They got one.
The right-hander shut out the Antioch Coal Miners, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 2-0 victory. The Death Stars took the 2-0 win over the Antioch Coal Miners to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Lucero, the Detroit right-hander, went 6.2 innings, allowing no earned runs on 4 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.
"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'Detroit Death Stars (probably) 2038 Triple A World Series Champions'," Lucero told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"
Game 6 is set to be played Sunday, October 24th, 2038 at The Coal Mine. Slated to start are Perry Groenendijk for the Detroit Death Stars and Bob Tamez for the the Antioch Coal Miners.
