| Monarchs Win to Extend Series Lead to 4-0 | Riding the 3-hit performance of second baseman Justin Huizenga, the Marysville Monarchs got a road win against the Carson City Mustang, 7-5, in Game 4 of the Double A World Series today. Huizenga went 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Monarchs, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 4 games to 0.
The Monarchs took a 4-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Carson City hurler Shane Jacobs with one out, Huizenga hit a run-scoring single.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Huizenga, "but a win in the playoffs is nothing to sniff at."
